multi-agent coordination for undersea surveillance

Key Points

The Multi-agent Coordination for Undersea Surveillance project aimed to develop an architecture for discerning and analysing patterns of information from sensors in an undersea environment.

The data streams are collected from multiple sensors across a range of platforms/sensors, some fixed and some mobile, that are observing the undersea environment with the objective of detecting anomalous behaviour and the intentions of any adversary in that context. Patterns in that data are analysed using several levels of algorithms to achieve an understanding at the highest level of the adversary’s situation and, more importantly, intentions. This analysis feeds back into redeployment and reconfiguration of the sensors.
